Born in Evanston Illinois in 1982, Lake quickly became a household name for cycling shoes and unlike many companies in the marketplace, Lake haven’t been distracted by entering into different cycling product categories, they have remained true to their core value and that is to produce the best fitting, highest quality cycling shoe on the market.
Lake match the fit to the function of every shoe they make. The footwear comfort & performance needs of cyclists are not only dependent upon the type of riding they will do, but also their gender & how hard they ride. This theory goes beyond materials & construction methods to the actual foot form (the “last”) around which a shoe is built to determine whether a shoe meets a particular need. Instead of trying to make one or two foot shapes fit every rider, we have created a variety lasts to meet most riders needs.
Lake Custom Fit System
Some of the shoes in the Lake range feature a carbon fibre “Custom Sole”. With these shoes we can custom mould the most important areas of the shoe such as the heal.
Custom Colours
Not only can we custom fit your Lake Shoes, you can fully customize your shoes with a range of colours and graphics. These services cost an additional £50.00 for colors and £100.00 for graphics. Have a play with some designs!

Since your design is customized specifically just for you, we are unable to offer returns/exchanges or refunds on custom orders once they have been processed. Please note lead time for custom orders is between 60 – 80 days.

ECCO Leather – A premium grade leather with classic looks & incredible feel. It ages beautifully while maintaining breathability & naturally adjusting to your foot
Packer Kangaroo Leather – Kangaroo leather, for Lake by Packer Leather, is the lightest, strongest & most durable natural leather. It utilizes multiple surface treatments to better protect & increase the comfort of your feet. Duratek treatment strengthens the leather & protects it from abrasion, & Microblok antimicrobial treatment renders the leather uninhabitable to microbes & germs.
Clarino Microfiber – Engineered in Japan to emulate leather as close as possible with many additional benefits. Up to 30% lighter than leather of the same thickness, fast drying and with great durability and surface finishes.
BOA® Fit System – Lake’s incredible fit comes from our Unique Pattern design, Shoe Lasts & Material choices. The BOA® Fit System provides a fine-tunable precision fit that evenly distributes pressure and eliminates hot spots. This system offers a similar level of fit and adjustability found in laces with the convenience of on the fly adjustment along with quick entry & exit. It is the first mechanical system to meet our exacting standards.
