Bike Fit – Comfort & Efficiency When You Ride

If you are finding riding uncomfortable in any way such as numb hands or toes, knee pain, lower back pain, shoulder discomfort or any number of other aches and pains during or after riding your bike, it is likely due to improper bike fit. Getting a professional bike fit is one of the best investments you can make.

If you want to ride efficiently, in comfort and pain-free, do yourself a favour and give yourself the gift of a proper bike fit. Our system is suitable for Road Bikes, Time Trial, Triathlon and Mountain Bikes.

Everyone’s body is different. Some of us have long legs and short torsos; some people struggle to reach their brake levers due to small hands. In addition to our bodies being the way they are, injuries or personal goals can affect how your bike should be set up to maximize comfort, efficiency and power.

Our main objectives with a bike fit are as follows:
  • Enhancing overall rider comfort
  • Preventing injuries
  • Eliminating saddle discomfort
  • Reducing or eliminating pain and numbness
  • Reducing rider fatigue by enhancing efficiency
  • Improving overall performance on the bike
Step 1 - Body Fit (Bio Size)

Step 1 - Body Fit (Bio Size)

The “Body Fit” is the beginning to any bike fit, frame measurement or saddle positioning.

At this stage we will check all important body measurements: crotch height, torso length, arm length, height, shoulders width, femur length.

At the body fit stage the measurements we are taking are beginning to give us an idea of what the frame size should be and saddle position.

Body Fit – Time Required 30 minutes – Cost £35 including the Bio Size report

Step 2 - Bio Size Bike Report

Step 2 - Bio Size Bike Report

Once the sizing process is complete we have computer software that provides you with a comprehensive report showing the most efficient and comfortable riding postion for either a Mountain Bike or Road Bike. The report will show us the correct posture you are looking for on your bike, ideal handlebar width, stem and crank length and seatpost height.

Step 3 - Bike Fit

Step 3 - Bike Fit

Our Bici “Bike Template System” has millimetre precision which allows us to take the most important measurements from your exisiting or new bike.

Using the report and information generated from the Body Fit we are then able to set your bike up correctly and specifically for you adjusting saddle height, saddle distance from your handlebars, stem and crank length.

The system also allows us to take measurements from an existing bike and match the measurements to another second bike.

Bike Fit – Time Required 60 minutes – Cost £65

Body and Bike Fit – Time Required 90 Minutes – Cost £99

Step 4 - Cleat Set Up

Step 4 - Cleat Set Up

Our cleat positioning tool allows us to correctly position your cleats on your cycling shoes. This process can be the quickest but possibly one of the most important to improve rider comfort, eliminate uneccessary pain whilst riding and also avoid injury due to incorrect positioning.

Cleat Set Up – Time Required 20 Minutes – Cost £15
