Here at C2K we take sizing a child very seriously. This is one of the most important factors for cycling success and enjoyment.

Unlike many kids’ bikes, Frog bikes are sized based on leg length rather than age, since this is the most reliable way to find the right size bike for each child. Children are unique and come in all shapes and sizes, growing at different times, so age alone isn’t a reliable measure.

FIND YOUR FIT

In many cases, wheel size and age are used as methods to select a child’s bike, but this is not accurate; you need to measure the inseam of the child’s legs. This will ensure that your child is able to place their feet on the ground safely and comfortably.

We recommend taking the time to measure the rider’s inside leg by following these simple steps:

  1. Stand the child in socks against a wall
  2. Place a small book between their legs, as high as is comfortable
  3. Ask the child to move away and measure from the top of the book to the floor
  4. Once you have measured the inside leg, use the table below to find the right size of bike for your child
